Job description
As Business Capture Manager, you'll develop and manage the capture plan for opportunities with either a significant strategic value (£100-200m of annual sales), creation of a new product line/ IDT, or development of new commercial models for IP exploitation. You'll lead a high performing Capture team to develop the solutions and deliver high quality bids and proposals.
Your main responsibilities as a Business Capture Manager
- Accountability for development of a robust Capture plan and securing order intake
- Creation of a compelling customer proposition which makes sound commercial sense for the business
- Leadership of a virtual campaign team
- Management of internal stakeholders including the business unit SLT level and corporate functions
- Leading customer engagement activity on behalf of the campaign/capture
- Business/investment case ownership for the campaign
Your skills and qualifications:
- Strategic thinker with knowledge of the Land/Defence domain or relevant transferrable knowledge
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence customer thinking
- Ability to converge technology development and market requirements
- Commercially astute with an ability to criticality evaluate a variety of business models
- Experience of successfully leading teams through change
- Proven ability to secure complex big ticket captures, experience of bringing disruptive technology to market would be a strong advantage
Location: You can be based at any of our UK sites. There will be a considerable amount of travel both UK-wide and internationally.
